2nd Web Monday Zurich
We were happy to host the 2nd Web Monday Zurich at our office. Ted from The Conversation Group and Marc from Amiando shared with us some insights about Facebook f8, Silicon Valley and the US market.
And here we were again, gathering for a beer, a chat and two interesting speeches.
“We didn’t even know we’re on that slide”
This is how Marc expressed his surprise at the f8 when amiando appeared together with twitter, digg and other famous companies on the screen. They have successfully started a partnership with the social network platform. Interestingly, most of the partnership was build through phone calls and emails. Aren’t we always told that you must meet personally? Nothing can replace a personal hand shake? Well, Amiando proved us wrong.
“Ideas emerge from the environment”
Ted nicely pointed out, how Silicon Valley works and how much this cluster helps the region, the industry and the start-ups to be adaptable. Sharing knowledge and ideas, as Ted pointed out, helps everyone to combine these ideas with trends and technologies to create better ideas and better products as someone could not do alone by himself. Ideas, in his opinion, are always based on experiences and knowledge coming from the environment. Individuals benefit from other people by sharing their thoughts and finally come up with brilliant ideas. Here at Cassiber, we totally agree on this with you, Ted. There is nothing better for ideas to take off than sharing it with others to make it even better.
