What is a cassiber?

Cassiber is a message that breaks out of given restrictions. It frees our thoughts from our mind, captures and shares them with those people that we cannot reach within our boundaries.

Cassiber is a secret, written message. The word derives from Babylonian Aramaic and means “written”. The expression “Kassiber” was used in medieval times in Germany for messages between prison inmates or inmates and the outside world. In the 1970’s, the expression had its revival in Germany due to secret documents of a left-wing movement called the Red Army Faction. Nowadays, the word “Kassiber” is still used for secret messages in German media.
